THE CHARLEY FOUNDATION

Kirkland’s was seen on the February 8, 2009 episode of ABC’s Extreme Each year, Kirkland's hosts our annual Bowl-a-thon to benefit Camp Charley at the Center for Courageous Kids, a medical facility disguised as a camp for critically ill children in Scottsville, Kentucky.  Fourteen families were able to attend the camp free of charge each year through Kirkland's fundraising and Bowl-a-thon participation, raising double our goal for each year, with more than $65,000 ra raised in total through out 2008 and 2009.  Throughout the weekend at Camp Charley, the families participated in events including campfires, horseback riding, and pumpkin carving to allow the children to enjoy normal childhood experiences they are so often robbed of due to their illnesses.  For more information abou tthe Charley Foundation, please visit www.charleyfoundation.org.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
®
Kirkland's proudly featured Nashville-based jazz recording artist Anna Wilson's Yule Swing! CD during the Christmas 2008 season. Through this partnership Yule Swing! reached #12 on Billboard's overall jazz chart. And from November 20, 2008 through January 1, 2009, Kirkland's donated $1 from the sale of each Yule Swing! CD for a total donation of $5,563 to Habitat for Humanity to aid in their mission to eliminate poverty housing. For more information about Habitat for Humanity, please visit

RELAY FOR LIFE/AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
One day. One night. One community. One fight. Relay For Life® is about celebration, remembrance, and hope. By participating in this nationwide event, Kirkland’s honors cancer survivors, pays tribute to the lives lost to the disease, and raises money to help fight it all right here in our community. In 2008 & 2009, Kirkland’s raised over $15,000 for Relay For Life of Madison County, and we have set our sights on contributing again in 2010..
